We did a half day tour with Mato out of old town in Dubrovnik. It was excellent! He was a very skilled skipper and easy to get along with! He took us all the places we wanted to go! Highly recommend!

This was one unique experience while in Dubrovnik. We were taken to a few amazing spots by the boat captain that he probably only knew. He was also very knowledgeable of the area and very down to earth person.

HIGHLY RECOMMEND!! My wife and i wanted a private tour, and Mato (our captain) was absoutley wonderful in showing us the highlights plus somesecluded places. i recommend booking this tour because Mato is very prompt in replying to emails, answering all questions and confirming the trip quickly. This was great to me becasue planning activites on overseas trips can be stressfull trying to confirm bookings. We asked our captain to join us for lunch annd had wonderful coversations learning about Croatia, and life before and after communism (i'm a history buff, so this was fascinating to me). Our afternoon with Captain Mato exploring the Elaphiti Islands was truly one of the highlights of our time in Dubrovnik. What started as a 3½–4 hour boat tour turned into such a beautiful, peaceful, and memorable experience—especially during what had been a very unexpected and stressful time for our family.
Captain Mato picked us up near Old Town, where he lives, and took us out to explore the gorgeous Elaphiti Islands. The scenery was absolutely breathtaking and at times felt almost magical. We visited the famous Blue Cave on Koločep, where the sunlight reflecting through the water creates an incredible blue glow. Scott and I swam into the cave, and it was such a unique experience. We also swam and explored the Three Green Caves, which were just as fun and beautiful. I brought my camera along so I could capture as much as possible to share with my dad, who preferred to stay on the boat.
We also visited the beautiful Šunj Beach on Lopud, with its gorgeous sandy beach and clear water. Scott and I went swimming while Captain Mato stayed on the boat with my dad. I especially appreciated knowing that my dad was comfortable and enjoying himself. He and Captain Mato had a chance to sit, relax, and visit while we swam.
What made this excursion even more special was Captain Mato himself. He wasn't simply someone driving us from place to place. He was friendly, professional, knowledgeable, and genuinely kind. As someone who lives in Dubrovnik, he shared stories and history about Dubrovnik and the islands along the way, which made the experience so much more meaningful. Nothing felt rushed or overly touristy. He created such a calm and relaxing atmosphere and was happy to adjust the afternoon to what worked best for us.
This peaceful afternoon meant more to us than Captain Mato probably realized. Half of our party was unexpectedly at the hospital with my mom, so our original plans had completely changed. Having a few hours away from the crowds, surrounded by the beauty of the islands and the Adriatic Sea, gave us a chance to relax, breathe, and enjoy some special time together during a difficult day.
Captain Mato was incredibly accommodating throughout the entire trip. He provided beverages, adjusted things to our needs, and at the end of the afternoon even dropped us off closer to our Viking ship so my dad wouldn't have to walk as far. That extra kindness and consideration really stood out to us.
The Elaphiti Islands are beautiful on their own, but experiencing them with someone as authentic, welcoming, and caring as Captain Mato made the afternoon even better. If you're visiting Dubrovnik and want to get away from the crowds, swim in incredible caves, see beautiful islands and beaches, learn some local history, and simply enjoy being out on the water, I highly recommend spending an afternoon with Captain Mato.
Thank you, Captain Mato, for giving Scott, my dad, and me such a wonderful afternoon. Your kindness and hospitality made a difficult day brighter, and it is an experience we will always remember. We would absolutely tour with you again!

We had a brilliant afternoon on the water with Mato. His boat was sparkling clean and he was the most wonderful skipper.
He allowed us to choose what sights we wanted to visit and how long we wanted to stay, giving us a great freedom over our time with him. Being just myself and my husband on the boat made for a much more relaxed time and well worth the money.
Mato was friendly, relaxed and knowledgeable and really made sure we enjoyed our time with him. He also provided us with some champagne as we were celebrating my birthday that day.
I would highly recommend Mato to anyone looking for a brilliant boat tour. He was absolutely worth every penny!

I highly recommend a boat trip with Mato! He is a wonderful, considerate and well organized skipper. The itinerary he planned for us was amazing and both me and my husband and our kids (ages 10 and 12) enjoyed every stop. We got to swim in beautiful spots, explore a blue cave, and three green caves (these were fabulous and one of them even had multiple “rooms” you could swim into). We also had some time on a nice beach and lunch at an excellent restaurant.
Mato communicates very well and explains things well on the boat. He also provides his guests with cold drinks, snorkels and noodles and makes sure everybody is comfortable.

Last minute booking Mato was available and a very nice Captain. We toured the harbor and neighboring waters at the National Park. Spent a little time swimming and returned. A very nice pop in and out on a summer day.

I was recommended to Mato by a friend who had recently came back from Dubrovnik. I reached out to him a month before our trip and he was extremely helpful and flexible with my request. I let him know that we wanted to at least include a sunset ride back and he was able to create an itinerary for the 6 hours we were on the boat. He also set us up a reservation for a restaurant at island Lopud for us, it was super delicious and cool! He took us to the Sandy Beach and Blue Cave, and answered all our questions we had about Dubrovnik. So cool to be able to learn from a local. I highly recommend choosing Mato as your skipper, he won't let you down!

The experience with Mato on his boat was excellent. He picked us up in Copacabana because it was closer to our accommodation and dropped us off at the Old Town port so we could enjoy the view from the sea. Friendly and accommodating, Mato is a great skipper who made our day in the Dubrovnik archipelago a great experience.

We had an awesome day. It was a last minute thing for us. We made contact via Whatsapp and got a reply within minutes and were on the water within an hour.
Our skipper Mato was great and was very flexible allowing us to choose how long we spent at each location.
Definitely recommend.

Super day out. We had a 6 hour private excursion, Mato took us to the spots on most tour itineraries as well as a couple of quiet, beautiful spots where we could explore the sea and scramble on the rocks. Mato’s boat was great and he made us feel very welcome. He was informative about the area, and gave us complete freedom to choose where to go and what to do. We felt well looked after, comfortable and safe. The price was reasonable which included a very modest fee for Mato took make a detour to pick us up closer to our accommodation. It’s clear that Mato wanted us to enjoy ourselves and it was a fabulous day. Thank you Mato!

We had great 2 hour Sunset Tour around Lokrum Island! Mato was a great skipper with excellent knowledge of the island and area. He pulled up to one of the swimming areas on Lokrum so the kids could swim over and jump off the cliffs. Couldn't have been a better last evening in Dubrovnik!
